We are delighted to announce that the “Child Abuse Identification & Management Workshop (in Cantonese)” by Dr. Rose Wong will be held on 10 Oct 2026 (Saturday). Dr. Wong is an experienced Clinical Psychologist and Doctor of Education with nearly 20 years of clinical experience. She has been a guest lecturer at various universities, sharing insights on understanding and assisting children with these needs. Early bird deadline has been extended until 15 Sept 2026.
The Child Abuse Identification and Management Workshop emphasizes practical strategies for fostering open communication, teaching parenting skills, and introducing basic therapeutic approaches, enabling trainers to empower parents to effectively help their children recover from the abuse.
This workshop is tailored for professionals with elementary to intermediate knowledge of child abuse. Participants will learn essential skills to help parents supporting abused children. Through exercises and real case sharing, they will learn ways to properly guide parents to identify signs of abuse, understand children’s emotional and behavioral responses, respond to their children's needs, and create a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
